– Title – The Photographer’s Eye: Honing the Creative Vision That Dives Us
– Talk description – What compels us to take pictures? Every snap of the shutter originates with an impulse, an internal urge to preserve a moment in time. But where does this voice come from and what effect does it have on our work?
The photographer’s eye is the inherent voice within each of us that commands the camera. It’s the reason we shoot what we shoot. It’s the reason we compose how we compose. It’s the reason we expose how we expose. The better we understand this engine that drives our work the more attuned to our creative process we become.
Once you identify it, this creative muscle we all possess can be strengthened like any other muscle. With experience and conditioning we can learn to interpret its voice, improve our ability to capture its vision, and expose the purpose that fuels our passion to take pictures. Join me as we seek to reveal the soul of your photography.
