Our longstanding mentoring program is one of the best perks of CPS membership!
Twice a year, our mentors volunteer their time and expertise to help others continue their photography journey and get some real-world experience with a guiding hand.

During our Meet the Mentors nights, each mentor shares their work and outlines their mentorship.
We encourage everyone to join us and hear what our mentors have planned!

Meet the Mentors

Our Meet the Mentors night will be held at the CPS clubhouse on April 2nd at 7:30pm. The mentors will share their work and present their mentoring plans. Afterward, mentors will hold a meet and greet, where you can ask questions and find the right mentor for you.

If you are unable to attend in person, use the links at the bottom of the page to view our mentors’ bios and watch the recorded presentations.

Requesting a Mentor

Immediately after the Meet the Mentors Night presentation concludes, the Request a Mentor form will open. The link will be available at the bottom of this page. For fairness and to encourage meeting our mentors in person, we will delay remote registrations by one hour.

Requests will not be accepted before the conclusion of the presentation.

Because mentee spots are limited, you may not get your first choice of mentor. We ask that you request first, second, and third choices for your mentor. Pay special attention to your chosen mentor’s availability and how it coincides with yours.

Your request must be submitted no later than 9pm on Monday, April 7th.

Outings With Your Mentor

After mentor assignments are completed, you will be contacted directly by your mentor. How they contact you is up to the mentor: it may be by phone, email, or text. All communications about where, when and shoot details will come from the mentor. Mentoring programs run for 10-12 weeks, at the discretion of your mentor.

No changes can be made once you are assigned to a mentor.
