Presentation: Taking the Slow Approach: Connecting More Deeply from Behind Your Lens

Description:

While it’s a relatively new concept in nature photography, the idea of slowing down has been embraced across many disciplines in recent decades. Applying this approach to photography encourages creativity, helps release expectations, fosters more thoughtful image-making, and deepens your connection with the subjects you photograph.
In this session, Jennifer will explore the concept of slow photography and share how it has transformed her approach to creating impactful and fulfilling nature imagery. Drawing from her experiences and travels through diverse landscapes, she will offer insights into crafting meaningful photographs that resonate with viewers.
Jennifer will introduce the principles of slow photography and discuss techniques for embracing this mindful approach. Topics include experimenting with creative ideas, uncovering stories within the landscape, and curating photography projects. Join her to learn how slowing down can inspire your photography and lead to more rewarding artistic expression.
