Our own Ken Hubal will be discussing the April 8, 2024 solar eclipse and how to photograph it. Topics will include safe solar filters, aperture & ISO settings, lenses and camera settings needed to achieve proper exposures of this solar eclipse.
A question and answer period will follow the presentation which will include Ken & Barb’s photos from the 2017 partial eclipse as see from the Cleveland area.
Ken has been doing photography since 1975 and the days of film. I am a retired physicist and optical designer with extensive experience in camera and telescope design and building. A lifelong amateur astronomer, I’ve photographed several lunar eclipses and most recently, the 2017 solar eclipse. I enjoy multiple genres of photography including nature, wildlife and portraiture. My wife Barbara and I have been members of CPS since March of 2023. We are from Medina, Ohio where we’ve resided for 11 years.
