Bio: Justin Foster is a portrait photographer in Hudson, OH specializing in high school seniors. Whenever possible, he loves capturing them in their element doing what they enjoy most – which often includes sports, music, dance, and other hobbies. He has enjoyed photography since he was a high school senior himself, but started Justin Foster Photography and taking on clients in 2017. Full time he manages an engineering team for Current Lighting Controls, a very left-brained career, so photography provides some right-brained opportunity for creative balance.
Talk Description: Join me for a dynamic in-person workshop where I’ll demonstrate the art of capturing powerful “sportraits” of a young athlete using studio lighting and strategic posing. This interactive session will break down essential lighting techniques, pose direction, and storytelling to bring out the passion and intensity — an explosive jump, a clenched fist, a determined gaze. Each shot tells a story of grit and passion, where every muscle, every drop of sweat, speaks of perseverance and triumph. You’ll have the opportunity to ask questions and gain practical insights to elevate your own work. Whether you’re new to sportraits or looking to refine your skills, this workshop will provide the tools and inspiration to create striking, high-impact images.
