Our open volunteer roles are listed below. If you find a role that suits your availability and skills, we’d love to hear from you!
Category: Competition
Description:
We need 3-4 volunteers to help find judges from our database for the upcoming competition season. Once you locate a person willing to judge, that name is turned over to the category chairs. Potential judges can also be found on favorite photography websites or articles you have read.
Requirements:
Strong desire to help keep our competition season going – we will teach you everything you need to know.
Category: Hospitality
Description:
Someone to manage out summer CPS Picnic – one of our two CPS social events of the year.
Requirements:
Good organizational skills – we will teach you what needs to be arranged.
If you are proficient in any area of photography – such as Photoshop, Lightroom, portraiture and lighting, phone photography, flash photography, etc. – consider teaching! The time commitment can be tailored to your availability and helping others learn is highly rewarding!
If you have an area of special interest or special skill that you are interested in sharing with the club, give a one evening lecture. It could be on a photographic technique, your travels or a type of photography you have an interest and skill in.
CPS has numerous committees that help keep the club running and are always looking for volunteers. Committees that could use help are the Field Trip Committee and the Hospitality Committee.
