Our open volunteer roles are listed below. If you find a role that suits your availability and skills, we’d love to hear from you!
Hospitality Chair
Category: Hospitality
Description:
The Cabin Fever Party and the Summer BBQ are the main events to be planned each year. Other events may arise as needed.
Requirements:
Strong organizational and leadership skills are required. Creativity and the ability to multitask while following up on an event through completion are also desirable.
Hospitality Committee
Category: Hospitality
Description:
Two or three Committee members to assist the Hospitality Chair are needed.
Requirements:
The ability to work as a member of a team and to follow up on an event through completion are required.
Competition Chair
Category: Competition
Description:
Coordinating judges for the various competitions is the primary task of the Competition Chair.
Requirements:
Strong organizational skills and keeping track of correspondence while soliciting judges for the various competitions, is required. The Competition Chair will also research magazines, social sites and so forth, while looking for potential judges.
Other Volunteer Opportunities
Instructors
If you are proficient in any area of photography – such as Photoshop, Lightroom, portraiture and lighting, phone photography, flash photography, etc. – consider teaching! The time commitment can be tailored to your availability and helping others learn is highly rewarding!
Speakers
If you have an area of special interest or special skill that you are interested in sharing with the club, give a one evening lecture. It could be on a photographic technique, your travels or a type of photography you have an interest and skill in.
Join a Committee
CPS has numerous committees that help keep the club running and are always looking for volunteers. Committees that could use help are the Field Trip Committee and the Hospitality Committee.
