Friday Night Meeting - May 27 - CANCELED

Due to a power outage which will take a few days to repair, this Friday night's meeting is canceled.

Virtual Summer Fundamentals Course Now Offered

Want to start learning about your camera and how to take good photos over the summer without having to devote time to class? We are now offering the Fundamentals of Good Photography course in virtual format. The course will consist of all of the lectures plus a syllabus that can downloaded and followed. Students will get the link for all of the sessions so you can watch them all at your convenience at any time or in any order or all at once. The one thing you won’t be able to experience is the hands-on portions, however, with enrollment you are a student for life. This means you can come to any or all of the fall or any future Fundamentals and participate in the hands-on portions at that time at no charge.

The 12 session course is $175 and this includes:

  • Virtual access to all 12 sessions of the Fundamental of Good Photography
  • Links to a complete downloadable syllabus of each session
  • A four month free membership in CPS which allows you on members only field trips, access to all members only speaker presentations and much more

This summer virtual Fundamentals session will be available now until August 31, 2022. To sign up for the summer virtual session click here and follow the instructions to register at the bottom of the page.

    Updated Masking Requirements

Please note the following changes to the CPS masking requirements:
    • We have dropped the requirement to wear a mask in the clubhouse.  You are still free to wear a mask if you are more comfortable doing so.
    • We strongly encourage all non-vaccinated members and students to attend meetings and classes virtually for the time being.
    • We may reimpose the mask requirement if Covid numbers start to rise again.

Update on Mansfield Reformatory Book Project

The images that were submitted for the Mansfield Book project were received by the people at Mansfield and they were very happy with what they saw. They have begun the process of sifting through the images to decide which of them they would like to use for the book. Since they are working on this project part time, it may be another couple of months before they finalize their selections.

    Welcome to CPS!

The Cleveland Photographic Society is not your typical 'camera club'. Operating from our own full-time, ADA-friendly clubroom in Broadview Heights, Ohio, we are an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, offering a variety of activities for members and visitors alike - including our long-running School of Photography, with classes held throughout the year. Feel free to look around our website and learn a little more about us and how to find us on the All About CPS page. Visitors are always welcome to our Friday evening meetings and many other events - we hope YOU'LL plan to visit sometime soon! If you have a question or a comment, please Drop us a line
